Tea is made from tea buds, undergoing five steps to produce the finished product is dried tea.

1. Harvest: harvesting tea buds, usually consisting of a young leaf is still curled and 2 adjacent leaves (1 shrimp 2 leaves).
2. Wilt: make tea leaves soft, there are many ways to do depending on the type of tea you want to do: sun-dried wilt, fried on the pan, boiled.
3. Stamping: Stretching tea buds, breaking down the cells to release the compounds in the tea leaves, by pushing on the hand, rolling, crushing or pressing, this process gives the finished tea a variety of shapes (flat , fishing thread, round ball …)
4. Oxidation: This is a natural process when tea buds are picked up, enzymes will interact with oxygen, which occurs during wilting, crushing and shortening. Oxidation will stop when the enzyme is destroyed by heat (fried, boiled) and dried (dried). Controlling the oxidation will produce different teas, which produce rich flavors of finished tea.
5. Drying: Dissolve the water, completely stop the oxidation and shape the finished tea fiber.
In the industry, CTC is also used, mainly for processing black tea bags.
